Sometimes life stinks, but then again...

On February 24, there was a freak dust storm here in Texas. The sky was orange! My husband even took pictures of it. Also, our power was out all day as a result of the freak storm. Eventually, we went to my husband's business office so he could get some work done. Well, I had the bright idea to skate around the building while he worked. Just as I was returning back to his office, I fell. My leg made a real loud pop, and then that was it. I was on the floor and couldn't move. Eventually, we had to call an ambulance to get me off the floor and get some medical attention. To make a long story short, I fractured my ankle and fibula. The pain has been terrible. But luckily, I am getting a lot better. It has been two weeks and I feel the worst is behind me. In four weeks the cast will come off...thank God. The worst thing is I have not been able to work on anything, and I feel my pride will take much longer to heal.

The best part of this whole debacle is how wonderful my husband has been to me. I am so thankful for every little thing he does for me. Thank you, honey.

Oh dear - there's a few doll makers down with this affliction - broken bits and bobs! I do hope that you are back on your feet soon. It's a good time to take up sculpting, LOL.

Oh so sorry to hear about your accident. Looks like it is catching. You must be the third dollmaker to have a broken something. White lights and healing thoughts go your way. Hope you recover soon. Broken Ankle is a tricky one.

My sympathies girl, that's awful.. been there done that. I broke a small bone in my foot 2 years ago. 6 weeks in a cast is no fun.
