This doll is greatly inspired by my love of German paper mache dolls from the 19th century, in particular the work of Andreas Voit. Ah, someday when the debts are paid off, I will own my very own Voit doll. In the meantime, I just have to drool over pictures and sculpt my own little versions of them. Lastly, I used my daughter's hair as reference for this doll. Stay tuned for more pictures.
You have such a special way with the faces of little ones and babies! This is just beautiful, and I can't wait to see her all done! Already I want to scoop her up and hug her.

Thank you very much. :)
One word...precious.
I love the hair on this. It's so whimsical!
Melisa - I love this doll! :-) I'm really, really, really into sculpted hair.
Check out the albums tab at CWT - there is a whole photobucket site for french papier mache dolls there. You'll love the yummy images.
