I've had a request.

Well, friends, I've received a request from my hubby to keep posting on my blog. He thinks it would be good for me. I agree, although I still have some reservations. I love my blog, but sometimes I feel distracted by it (not in a bad way). The wonderful thing about being married is you have someone to hold you accountable. Someone who's there for you and offer some advice. God love him, he just wants to be able to read my blog.

Perhaps he's not the only one who wants to read more.

So I will keep posting on a regular basis. I had planned not to post anything new until November. Just know that I am currently working on some ideas I developed in 2005. They were abandoned because I didn't take them too seriously. It's because I tend to get too distracted and, quite frankly, trying to think of ways to earn some extra income. I've lost my focus and identity trying to make some money.

There is an artist, Maddy Nupp McDonald, who was very frank about herself on her website. It has touched me deeply ever since I read it. In fact, I was moved to tears because I could really identify with her. Lately, I've been thinking about her and realized I needed to take some time off and really think about what direction I want to go with my art. So in the meantime, please visit her website, read her "about me" page and buy her work.

That's all I have to say about that for now.

Thanks, Bunny.

Please note that Brap is updated on it's original post. That way you can see all of the doll's progress in one post.

Bunny, I just happened to come across your blog. I want to say that I am so glad that my story could help and encourage you to take time for yourself and open up the possibilities for you to really evaluate your art and your desires. I'm so touched by what you wrote that I too was brought to tears. When I went to read your profile, I felt like I could have been reading my own.

I'm so glad that you have a supportive husband like I do who encourages you to do what's right for you. That's so important and special and we are lucky as there are others who do not have this.

I really wanted to thank you for the kind things that you've said, as well as your sweet "endorsement" of my work. I wish for truly the best for you. And I love your Brap!! He is a wonderful sculpture and am excited (as well as patient) to see him completed!!!

Thank you, I feel like there was a purpose for me today, because of our random unknown connection. I wish you an exciting journey into self exploration!! I know you will be amazed when you find out what a wonderful creative free spirit you were meant to be.

Best wishes and big hugs! xoxo Maddy

Thank goodness for brilliant husbands with foresight. I'm not even a dollmaker (yet, although I'll get there someday) and I almost wept when I read that you planned a break from blogging and posting such wonderful photos of your work. You inspire me so much and I ADORE your works-in-progress pics. Welcome back! :)
